CHAKRA YOGA PROGRAM

Every human, every yoga practitioner and ever teacher will encounter several problems in your body  while exercising which you may find very difficult to break through. I have developed this specific program using my experience of 14 years yoga practice to help myself to navigate through that stiffness and blockages. My goal is to listen and learn from the body.


This is very physical practice based on hatha yoga (Iyengar method) and where possible vinyasa flow which guide you through 7 chackras located in your body, moving the energy and helping to create space, acceptance and openness. During my practice as a student and as a teacher I have discovered that not everything in the body can be rationally explained and not always someone's body adjust to perfect yoga posses which we find in books and social media. This can be highly disappointing and can even push someone off from the yoga path. I invite you to leave ambitions and judgment aside and follow your inner intuition to discover where and why some body parts do not want to move or are too flexible (which irrationally can be also a problem). The objective of the program is to move energy, learn from the body and stop pushing it. No one likes to be pushed, including yourself.

DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM:
Each week you will work with a different chakra (from root to crown), practicing asanas dedicated to each chakra. Because the last 3 chakras are much more of a spiritual experience than the first 5, classes are expanded by more pranayamas and meditation (however 75% of the class is still a proper physical practice). The program lasts 8 weeks (even if there is only 7 chakras) because the last week is summing up the whole journey (one asana for each chakra) and everything ends with sound chakra meditation. Depend on the school amenities we can provide a special relaxing music concert as the last class, join the practice with aromatherapy (if vaporizers are available) and if the group is willing there could be further specific pranayamas and mudras provided to suit your needs and body.


I find it suitable if there are minimum 2 classes per week (2 classes for each chakra). An 8 week program gives every school great opportunity to sell a special seasonal ticket for around two months. This program also suits very well to your school's regular yoga offer. The program could be repeated endlessly for old and new students.
